Position involves:

  • Developing, enhancing, debugging, and supporting practical evolutionary computing software with emphasis in heuristic-based optimization and evolutionary strategies
  • Working closely with business partners to design, code, and implement quality solutions based on complex algorithms and theory.
  • Collaborating with other internal and external technology teams to coordinate delivery of software systems.
  • Working under minimal supervision.
  • Traveling roughly 10%, as needed to collaborate with other internal and external technology teams within the United States.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience coding in Java.
  • Excellent Java, J2EE, EJB (Session and Entity Beans), Servlet, JSP development skills

Client Support Engineer
Civil engineering software start-up with pioneering artificial intelligence-based software is looking for a full-time Client Support Engineer.

Position involves:

  • Answering customer calls and emails regarding questions, issues and trouble-shooting related to use of the software.
  • Training clients in use of the software; includes facilitating off-site, on-site, and web-meeting based sessions.
  • Assisting and mentoring internal associates in use of the software features; to include training on various demo techniques.
  • Developing, enhancing, and updating user guide, training materials, and help guides associated with the product.
  • Collaborating with internal and external team members to coordinate delivery of software systems.
  • Working under minimal supervision.
  • Traveling as needed (approximately 15%) to collaborate with other internal and external team members within the United States.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in software customer support.
  • Minimum 1 year of training experience.

Professional Engineer (Civil Engineering Software Development)

Civil engineering software start-up with pioneering artificial intelligence-based software and a values-based corporate culture is looking for a Professional Engineer to serve as a key member of its product development team. The position will be responsible for consulting with the product development team on product features and functionality. The position will also serve as engineering liaison with engineering firms, land developers, and other users of BLUERIDGE’S SITEOPSä software. The position requires the combination of solid land development civil engineering background, strong software and technology experience, and exceptional interpersonal skills and customer focus.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assists with the product development team with civil engineering and land development issues
  • Supports product development efforts by assisting with product verification and validation
  • Assists the product development team with product design issues
  • Performs site designs, calculates site grading estimates, calculates storm water piping estimates and performs other hands-on civil engineering work
  • Acts as liaison between the product development team and civil engineers, land developers, and others to aid in the creation of product requirements and definitions
  • Supports the quality control and testing team to develop, execute, and confirm testing practices and procedures
  • ;Assists with presentations, sales, and support to key accounts
  • Bridges civil engineering, technology, product and customer issues.
  • Builds relationships of trust with civil engineering firms, land developers, and other users of SITEOPS

Requirements Include:

  • Professional Engineer license in one or more states
  • Significant land development experience including site layout, grading, utilities, and storm water drainage
  • Detail oriented and quality focused
  • Ability to develop an in-depth knowledge of the Company’s civil engineering software
  • Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and customer-centered orientation.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Ability to plan, create and execute compelling customer demonstrations that show a deep understanding of target customer and market needs
  • Civil Engineering degree. Advanced degree a plus
  • 5 years + experience as a PE in land development
  • Background or understanding of predictive analytics a plus
  • Extensive experience with AutoCADÒ or other CAD/CAM
  • Ability to work effectively with executive level decision makers, a software development team, and civil engineering firms and other users of SITEOPS.
  • Occasional overnight travel is required
